Operators

Location is not important but a willingness to be flexible and to work away from home is essential. Work will be divided between driving the new fleet of Oshkosh HETs, and civilian HGV vehicles based in your home region. Applicants should be Qualified C+E (HGV 1) and have a minimum of 2 years experience and not more than 6 penalty points on their licence. Training will be provided (6 weeks).

Operators will be based from home and be required to undertake Military Training and become a Sponsored Reservist joining the TA (Territorial Army). From time to time, they will be required to go on Operational Deployment for which pay is subject to a 50% uplift.

In Peacetime, Operators will be based from home. Their primary task will be the movement of Heavy Armour for FTX Logistics on behalf of The Army. When not employed on their primary task, Operators will drive for The Best Connection clients in their local area.

You will become a full time, salaried employee of FTX Logistics Ltd with commercial work undertaken exclusively through your local The Best Connections office.

Salary

£24,939 rising to £25,556 basic after training + Operational (50%) & Training uplifts + TA Bounty up to £2,426 before tax. On Operational service in certain theatres, Sponsored Reservists also receive an Operational Allowance of £42.06 per day before tax. Our Operators can typically earn over £46,000 in a year in which they serve 6 months in theatre (subject to status).
