FTX Operators take part in the DANCON March

The DANCON March in Estonia 2022 is a proud Danish tradition for soldiers on Operations. The first march took place in Cyprus during a UN tour in 1972 and has been conducted in every operational environment that the Danish Army have been involved in  since, regardless of the terrain and climate. The March is 25km in no more than 6 hours, and carrying a minimum 10kg load.

Over time partner nations serving alongside the Danish Armed Forces have been invited to complete the DANCON March. This year’s march that took place in Estonia was completed by 3 FTX Sponsored Reserves attached to the 19 Sqn RLC Detachment.   Having received their certificates (pictured), they were (l to r) Privates Jamie McLaughlin, Colin Turnock and Gav Haines.
